Once you have started looking for your bed you my feel the mass amount of choice is a little daunting. Here are some tips and hints to help when searching for your desired bed
When searching for a bed, whether it is online or within a store, the bed frame and the bed mattress are separate items and are in different locations. This may sound silly as when buying a bed you will ultimately want a whole bed not just a bed frame and not just a mattress! But they are in different sections and some stores focus solely on selling mattresses and no bed frames at all and so it is important when purchasing your mattress that you buy the right size to suit your bed frame as they do not come as a package.
Another tip when looking for a bed is to decide whether you are buying a bedroom suite, which means the bed is included in the bedroom set, or if you are solely looking for the bed frame separately. What’s the difference? If you are buying a bedroom suite you should be looking under the category heading ‘bedroom suites’ or ‘bedroom sets’ where the bed is included along with the matching wardrobes and drawers. However if you are looking for a bed on its own with no other matching bedroom furniture then you can simply search for ‘beds’. Some stores may specify that certain beds that are included in a suite cannot be sold separately and the whole suite needs to be purchased and so it is always good to double check this first before you get your heart set on a particular bed frame. You may already have the bedroom suite but want to replace the bed frame for one reason or another in which case you can search under bedroom suites and bedroom sets to find the same bedroom suite you already have or if not a similar one but again you need to check that the bed can be bought separately.
